Bellator is returning to the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas for the second time in three months this September, as Bellator 27 will emanate from the venue on September 2.

The organization announced the location for the event today, which will bring opening round bouts in the heavyweight and bantamweight tournaments.

"San Antonio is a great fight town and we were embraced very enthusiastically by the city’s MMA fans during our first visit to the Majestic Theater back in May,” said Bellator founder and CEO Bjorn Rebney in today's release. “We can’t wait to return on Sept. 2nd with a full card of eight more exciting fights."

Bellator brought their brand of MMA action to the city in May for season two's Bellator 20 event, which featured wins by Alexander Shlemenko, Bryan Baker and Eddie Sanchez on the card.

As reported last week, the event is expected to feature a bantamweight bout between Travis Reddinger and Ulysses Gomez in the opening round of the bantamweight tournament. The event will air live or via tape delay on Fox Sports Net.
