...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
3/2 AFTERNOON UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-Bellator MMA is attempting to keep Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from making his UFC return next month at UFC 186, announcing today that they've filed for an injunction to compel him to finish out the contract with them they believe is still valid. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for further information and commentary on this expected development.
-After UFC 184, it was revealed that Ronda Rousey would be filming a new movie role before returning for her next title defense. Now, we know what that role will be, as it was announced on Monday that she'll star in the action film “Mile 22” alongside “The Raid” star Iko Uwais. Get more on her latest film project with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Dana White doesn't think Georges St-Pierre is interested in returning to the cage at this point in time, and says he wouldn't try to pressure him to, either. See White's latest comments on St-Pierre with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-Jon Jones has gone a bit back and forth on whether or not he'll move to the heavyweight division, but he said this weekend that if and when that happens, he believes he's got the skill set to beat current Champ Cain Velasquez. Head to the mobile site to see his comments on that bout with further thoughts on that discussion.
-Ken Shamrock thinks his return against Kimbo Slice in Bellator this June constitutes and interesting and “fun” fight for him, and thinks he's more than earned his right for fights like this. See his comments with additional thoughts on the mobile site.
-In our morning poll, we asked readers whether or not they believe Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg will fight one another. 56% don't think it will happen, because they don't think Cyborg will make weight, and don't think Rousey will accept a catchweight.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
