...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
3/1 NIGHT UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site tonight:
-Anderson Silva will be appearing in front of the Nevada Athletic Commission at an upcoming meeting for his official disciplinary hearing after failing multiple drug tests for UFC 183. Now, despite previous denials that he had knowingly taken anything, Silva is reportedly set to admit he used drostanolone therapeutically to return from his injury, while insisting it wasn't to enhance his performance against Nick Diaz. UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones reacted to Silva's test failures on Saturday as well, saying he'll never look at Silva as a cheater. Head to our mobile site for further thoughts and information on the argument he and his team are expected to make, as well as Jones' comments on Silva's failures.
-Ronda Rousey says she felt bad for Cat Zingano with how quickly their fight was over on Saturday night, and immediately after she told Zingano she was happy to do it again. As she said on the post-fight show on Fox Sports 1, “It's hard to feel like you really tested yourself when something like that happens.” Get more of her thoughts on a potential future rematch with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Rousey was the second-highest earning fighter on the UFC 184 card, as far as the disclosed earnings to the commission are concerned. Jake Ellenberger took home several thousand more with his win bonus, though the disclosed figures don't take into account any other money the UFC may dole out for pay-per-view earnings or discretionary bonuses. More on those numbers on the mobile site now.
-Also tonight, head to the mobile site for highlights from the UFC 184 broadcast's top four fights, as well as to check how you did in the MMATorch contests for the card.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
