12/16 NIGHTTIME UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-The shoe dropped on a class action lawsuit against the UFC today, as it was officially filed in San Jose with Cung Le, Jon Fitch, and Nate Quarry named as the first three plaintiffs. We have several different things up on our mobile site from today's press conference announcing the suit, including the entire complaint itself, the UFC's brief response, a brief overview, and more. Head to MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser to catch up on this afternoon's bombshell press conference.
-Dan Moore plays matchmaker after Saturday's UFC on Fox 13 event today in his latest “Top Fights To Make” column. Excerpt on Rafael dos Anjos: “He will get blown away by the current champion, but he certainly deserves the chance to be in line while Khabib Nurmagomedov is injured. As I mentioned last week, someone needs to step in to keep Pettis active. Dos Anjos is deserving of a shot, and I don't think anyone will dispute his credentials. Dana White has already announced his intentions, so expect to see it by spring next year, unless Nurmagomedov makes a rapid recovery.” Get the full column on the mobile site now.
-Also up on the mobile site tonight, newly crowned Champ Robbie Lawler says he'd like to delay his return until Memorial Day weekend at the earliest if that's possible. However, he says he'll be ready whenever the UFC wants him to be if it has to be earlier than that.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
