...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
11/25 AFTERNOON UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this afternoon:
-Vitor Belfort was forced off testosterone replacement therapy earlier this year following the treatment's outright ban by the athletic commissions, but he's not expressing any issues with that. In fact, he now says he's stronger, lighter, and faster in the wake of going off of it. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for further thoughts from Belfort and additionaly commentary.
-After the Ian McCall vs. John Lineker bout got canceled at the last minute earlier this month due to an illness to McCall, the UFC has decided to keep them together for a matchup. They've been rescheduled for UFC 183 on Super Bowl weekend, with the winner likely getting a shot at the UFC Flyweight Championship later in 2015. More on the re-booking on the mobile site.
-Frankie Edgar is angling for his rematch with Jose Aldo after taking out Cub Swanson last weekend, and he'd like it to happen at UFC on Fox 15 in his backyard in New Jersey. Catch further analysis on why that's unlikely on the mobile site now.
-The UFC's announcement of their 2015 schedule was missing a second event on Feb. 28, one which had been previously announced as their return to London. However, it turns out that they will be waiting a bit longer to return to London after booking UFC 184 on pay-per-view in Los Angeles on that date. Head to the mobile site for more on the date change along with additional analysis.
-Ricardo Lamas really wants to fight Conor McGregor, and he's so confident in himself into that matchup that he thinks it would end with the ref pulling him off McGregor's unconscious body. More of Lamas' thoughts with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Prior to the UFC announcing the McCall-Lineker re-booking, we asked fans whether or not Joseph Benavidez should get another title fight this close to his last loss to Demetrious Johnson, and responses were evenly split between the three options. 34% say no, that shot should go to someone else next, another 34% are open to it, as they don't believe there are many options even if they feel he should probably need to win one more. Finally the remaining 32% fully back him, and believe he should get that next fight.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
