10/23 NIGHTTIME UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-The delayed Chris Weidman-Vitor Belfort title fight will now take place at UFC 184 in Los Angeles. In other news on that fight, despite promises from the NAC that they'd drug test Belfort at his own expense continuously, he hasn't been tested once since they granted him the license. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for more on that fight and thoughts on the lack of testing done thus far.
-Conor McGregor isn't waiting around for a title fight, as he'll take on Dennis Siver in Boston on Jan. 18 on Fox Sports 1. More on the fight with further thoughts on the matchup itself on the mobile site.
-Cung Le and his manager have released a statement after the UFC rescinded his suspension, seeking a formal apology from the UFC for the damage done to his reputation. Get their full statements with further thoughts on the situation on the mobile site.
-After Joe Lauzon was forced out of his fight with Diego Sanchez at UFC 180, Sanchez himself has now dropped off the card with a knee injury, leaving the card with 11 fights. More on that fight on the mobile site.
-Nate Marquardt will take on Brad Tavares at UFC 182, the organization announced this week. Get more on that matchup on the mobile site.
-WSOF 16 is hitting Las Vegas on Dec. 13, bringing two title fights to NBC Sports Network in Rousimar Palhares vs. Jon Fitch and Rick Glenn vs. Lance Palmer.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
