10/9 NIGHTTIME UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site tonight:
-Former UFC and Strikeforce competitor Jason “Mayhem” Miller ran afoul of the law once again on Thursday, and this time he was live tweeting during a four hour standoff with police in California. Catch up on the situation by heading to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.
-Holly Holm's UFC debut is set for Dec. 6, as she'll take on Raquel Pennington at UFC 181. Head to the mobile site for more info on both fighters, as well as additional thoughts on the fight itself.
-Raphael Assuncao understands that he might be behind Dominick Cruz for the next UFC Bantamweight Title shot, but he's also willing to wait out his turn. He believes a potential rematch with Urijah Faber might be below him at this stage in their respective careers, and wants to be smart about his next move. See his comments with further thoughts on the mobile site.
-Rory MacDonald thinks his mentor and teammate Georges St-Pierre is likely to return to action in the UFC. However, as he expects to capture the belt, he maintains that they won't fight one another, and that St-Pierre wouldn't need to return in the title picture if he does return. More on that situation on the mobile site now.
-The UFC had to cancel two events in Canada down the stretch here in 2014, but the UFC's managing director in the country says there's no cause for concern into 2015, and that this year was just an anomaly. See his thoughts with further analysis on the mobile site now.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
