9/25 NIGHTTIME UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site tonight:
-Brad Walker and Manny Garcia put together their thoughts on the Eddie Alvarez vs. Donald Cerrone fight at UFC 178. Excerpt: “Eddie Alvarez is making his long awaited UFC debut after finally getting his release from Bellator. Donald Cerrone comes into this fight hotter than molten iron, looking to stop the juggernaut that has become beloved by MMA fans worldwide. Can the former Bellator champion make his imprint in the UFC after such a long wait, or will Cowboy Cerrone stop his charge towards immortality?” Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for the full column.
-The UFC 178 contests are now live. If you'd like to take part in the prediction and betting games for the event, head to the mobile site now.
-Benson Henderson may be leaving the lightweight division soon, as his manager says he's planning on one more fight at 155 lbs. before moving up to welterweight. More thoughts on that potential move on the mobile site now.
-UFC Champ Jose Aldo was hospitalized with a kidney stone in Brazil last week, but it's not going to keep him from his fight with Chad Mendes at UFC 179. Get details on his situation with further thoughts on his status on the mobile site.
-Vitor Belfort thinks Chris Weidman's injury is suspect, and says it was the only way the Champ could hold onto the title past Christmas. Catch Belfort's comments with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Tim Kennedy isn't happy with the Nevada Athletic Commission due to a lack of random drug testing into UFC 178. He's been consistently campaigning for it, and is less than pleased with the response he's gotten thus far. See his comments with additional thoughts on the mobile site.
-Jessica Eye vs. Leslie Smith is the latest bout added to the UFC 180 card in Mexico. Head to the mobile site for more on both fighters.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
