TUESDAY 8/26 AFTERNOON UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this afternoon:

-The UFC announced the full main card for their Mexico City debut card in November, UFC 180, on Tuesday, with Kelvin Gastelum vs. Jake Ellenberger set in the co-main event, as well as Ricardo Lamas vs. Dennis Bermudez, Diego Sanchez vs. Norman Parke, and Erix Perez vs. Marcus Brimage rounding things out. More info on the fighters set for the card on our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-The UFC Fight Night event coming to Austin this November has its first two fights, as Joseph Benavidez will take on Dustin Ortiz, and the Paige VanZant vs. Kailin Curran bout – originally scheduled for Halifax on Oct. 4 – will shift to the Nov. 22 card. More on the two fights on our mobile site now.

-Rafael dos Anjos thinks “Big” John McCarthy did his job in stopping the Benson Henderson fight when he did on Saturday night, and thinks Henderson will have to admit as much when he watches it back. Beyond that, he's not sure what's next for him in the UFC's lightweight division given the current state of things at 155 lbs. See his comments with further analysis on the mobile site.

-Speaking of Henderson, today's new roundtable sees the crew pondering whether or not the former UFC Lightweight Champ will ever fight for a UFC Title again. Excerpt from Rich Hansen: “At lightweight? No. At welterweight in a couple years? Doubtful, but maybe. If he can pack on some upper body muscle and walk around at 185, then maybe he can move up. I doubt it happens, though. But he's got two losses to the current champ, and lost decisively to Rafael dos Anjos. And since dos Anjos is still a couple fights away from his own title shot due to the Melendez-Bellator-TUF-Pettis-Injury logjam at the top of the division, I can't imagine Henderson going on a win streak long enough in duration to let the contenders ahead of him get their shots.” Full roundtable on our mobile site.

-Next week's Bellator 123 has gotten another change, as Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal now has his third scheduled opponent for the event. Marcus Sursa is out, while UFC vet Dustin Jacoby is in. More on the switch on the mobile site.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
