MONDAY 8/25 NIGHT UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this afternoon:

-Bobby Green levied some fairly heavy accusations on Monday against the man he was supposed to fight at UFC 178, Donald Cerrone, explaining why he still wants badly to fight the “Cowboy.” According to Green, during the UFC Fan Expo in July, Cerrone was groping female fans at an autograph signing, and in another incident, Cerrone made some racist jokes towards Green. It's a bit of a brutal tear down of Cerrone's character from Green. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his comments and further thoughts.

-The man Cerrone is facing now on that card next month, Eddie Alvarez, believes it's an exciting matchup serving as a stepping stone to further greatness in the UFC. Indeed, Alvarez by this time next year expects to be 3-0 inside the Octagon with the UFC Lightweight Championship around his waist. See his comments with further analysis on the mobile site.

-Ronda Rousey's last two wins coming by TKO was certainly a surprise for most, given she had stopped her previous eight opponents all by armbar. But that's exactly why she was able to get the TKO wins in those fights, as she believes the very fact that the armbar was established forced both Sara McMann and Alexis Davis to leave her other openings with which to pick up wins. More from Rousey on her Judo game in MMA and the armbar on the mobile site now.

-Gilbert Melendez said this week that fans shouldn't expect a ton of trash talk between he and Champ Anthony Pettis on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, as they just didn't have a ton of interaction. He's not trying to be friendly with the Champ of course, he just believes they both do their talking in the cage. More of Melendez's comments with some additional thoughts on the mobile site.

-Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal this weekend commented on his fight with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson from May, saying he feels that everyone knows he won the fight, and that while he's open to a rematch, he doesn't think Jackson's heart is in the sport anymore. See Mo's comments with added analysis on the mobile site.

-Speaking of Bellator fighters, 13 from the roster are no longer with the organization, including former Champ Attila Vegh and tournament winner Shahbulat Shamhalaev. Head to the mobile site now for the full list of names cut from the roster this week.

-Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, who fights Gegard Mousasi next week on Fox Sports 1, believes he should have already fought for the UFC Title by this point given his ranking in the division. See his reasoning with further thoughts on the mobile site.

-Finally today, head to the mobile site to watch the first episode of “UFC 177 Embedded,” the internet video series following T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao into their title rematch on Saturday night.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
