...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
FRIDAY 8/1 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-Daniel Cormier thinks Jon Jones made a mistake in posting about the cut he suffered in training, and thinks it's just a bullseye for him to target at UFC 178. Jones fired back that he's heard everything there is to hear from an opponent, and he can't wait to see Cormier's reaction when he realizes he's in the cage with someone who is not Dan Henderson or Patrick Cummins. Catch their latest back and forth now on our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.
-T.J. Dillashaw has heard comments from Renan Barao and his camp about Barao thinking he didn't really wake up on fight night at UFC 173 until he was in the locker room after the bout. He doesn't buy that, and thinks he just beat Barao into that state in their first meeting. See Dillashaw's comments with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-Wanderlei Silva still seems to think a fight with Chael Sonnen will happen, despite his own transgressions in making it an unrealistic option, not to mention Sonnen's two-year suspension. See his delusional thoughts with added commentary on the mobile site.
-In our morning poll today, we asked readers for their thoughts on the possibility of UFC 178 getting a fight between Donald Cerrone and Eddie Alvarez. There are a lot of skeptics, with 38% saying they'll believe it happens when they see it. 22% hope they're not getting teased as it's a great fight, and another 35% just want to see the fight now.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
