THURSDAY 6/19 MORNING UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:

-Wanderlei Silva released a video on his YouTube page discussing the Nevada Athletic Commission meeting from this week, and he seems to think the problem's been solved. He must have missed the commission discussing how to move forward with an official complaint against him. Catch his delusional comments with further analysis in the main listing at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-Frank Hyden broke down the Good, Bad, and Ugly as he saw it from UFC 174 in his weekly piece. Excerpt: “Johnson was unquestionably the better fighter. He controlled things in every facet and in every way. That's the GOOD. The BAD comes from the fact that he allowed it to go all five rounds. I think that Johnson could have ended things earlier if he had wanted to. He was working the whole fight, but it was painfully clear that he was on a different level than Bagautinov. I felt like I was watching an old Georges St-Pierre fight. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it got frustrating at times to watch this.” Full breakdown in the main listing now.

-Despite getting eliminated from the competition on TUF 19 after another disappointing fight, Cathal Pendred is getting a fight on the July 19 fight night event in his home country of Ireland. He'll take on fellow Team Penn member Mike King. Info on both fighters in the main listing.

-The UFC has completed their lineup for UFC 175 in Las Vegas next month, and Urijah Faber's bout with Alex Caceres will now take place on the preliminary card as the final Fox Sports 1 bout on July 5. See the full lineup in the main listing.

-Our morning poll sought reader reaction to Bellator ousting Bjorn Rebney and bringing in Scott Coker to replace him. 47% think it's a great move as change was a necessity; 25% said they don't watch Bellator now and still won't despite the change; 23% are intrigued and think it could make things better even though they enjoy Bellator now, while the final 5% don't like the change at all. Get your votes in now.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
