-UFC Champ Jon Jones is meeting with the organization today to discuss his next title fight. While he's said he would prefer a fight with Daniel Cormier, the UFC continues to say that Alexander Gustafsson is the No. 1 contender. We'll find out whether or not Jones can be convinced to take that fight or not, and hopefully they'll have a fight to announce shortly. More on the situation with commentary in the main listing at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-Mauricio “Shogun” Rua is healing up from the broken nose he suffered in a loss to Dan Henderson in March, and is targeting a fight on the UFC's Japan card this September. More on his return with thoughts on him getting on the Japan card in the main listing now.

-Michael Chandler said he wants to fight Will Brooks in his next fight, as he feels worse about that loss than he did the loss to Eddie Alvarez in their rematch last fall. He says he wants to beat Brooks, then fight Alvarez, but that's not a scenario likely to play out. See his comments, with further commentary on the situation, in the main listing.

-In our morning poll, we asked readers for predictions on the UFC Fight Night 42 co-main event between Diego Sanchez and Ross Pearson. Votes are fairly split thus far, with a majority leaning towards Pearson. 29% think he'll win by decision, 25% think Sanchez wins by TKO, and an even 20% each is in for the opposite options there.
