...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
WEDNESDAY 5/28 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what hit the site this morning:
-Frank Hyden looked back at Saturday's UFC 173 event with his “Good, Bad, and Ugly” review of the Renan Barao vs. T.J. Dillashaw headlined event. Excerpt: “The absolute best case scenario would be about four months until the winner could fight again. That would make for a total of seven months that Cormier would be out before getting his title shot. I couldn't complain about that.” Full review in the main listing at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.
-The co-main event for UFC Fight Night 46 in Ireland has been shaken up, as Ryan LaFlare is out of the event, and Zak Cummings has been pulled from the UFC Fight Night 45 card in Atlantic City earlier that week to face Gunnar Nelson. More info on the switch in the main listing.
-In other card-changing news, Germaine de Randamie is out of her UFC 174 bout with Milana Dudieva next month in Vancouver. No replacement is set for Dudieva as of yet. More information on the fighters in the main listing.
-More fight booking news, as lightweights Joe Proctor and Justin Salas will square off on the July 16 UFC Fight Night 45 card in Atlantic City. More on both fighters in the main listing.
-In our morning poll today, we sought predictions for the Gegard Mousasi vs. Mark Munoz fight at UFC Fight Night 41 this weekend in Germany. 74% of respondents picked Mousasi by some form, with 44% expecting him to pick up a TKO victory in the night's main event. 25% think it will end with a Mousasi decision win.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
