Outside of the top two fights at UFC 171, what else stands out to you and which fights are fighters are you most intrigued by into the card?
DAN MOORE, MMATORCH UK COLUMNIST
I remember not so long ago when the UFC told us every card would consist of thirteen fights. After two successive weeks with single digit fights we finally we get a card with substance. I don't know where to start; I love the look of this card, and, (writer touches wood) it hasn't been ravaged by big name injuries.
Dennis Bermudez vs. Jimy Hettes and Kelvin Gastelum vs. Rick Story are both more appealing than most of the fights I've seen over the last two-weeks, even though they're only on the prelim portion of UFC 171. I'm having a hard time trying to predict a winner for either fight, but at a push I'm inclined to go for Bermudez and Story.
Diego Sanchez will tell us just how good Myles Jury is and whoever wins the Jake Shields vs. Hector Lombard fight must only be a fight or two removed from a title shot. Both UFC 169 and UFC 170 were major disappointments for a variety of reasons, so fingers crossed this one actually lives up to expectation.

I'm very intrigued by the Myles Jury vs Diego Sanchez fight. I really think Myles is very underrated and is a true dark horse in the division, I'm excited to see what he can do on a big stage.
FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
I'm interested in seeing if Hector Lombard can force Jake Shields to be more aggressive in their fight, but the fight on the main card I'm most interested in is Diego Sanchez vs. Myles Jury. No doubt that the top two fights are the draw, but I think this fight will be fun. On the undercard, I want to see Raquel Pennington vs. Jessica Andrade. I think this fight will be really good, and it's one I'm looking forward to.

I am very interested to see the ongoing development of Myles Jury. Each time I count him out of a fight he wins. While I anticipate he will beat Diego Sanchez, I still would like to see how he deals with the chaos Sanchez creates in fights.
The next fight I want to see is Raquel Pennington vs Jessica Andrade. Although I have never been overly impressed with Raquel Pennington, she isn't afraid to scrap and this should be a good fight. I want to see how Andrade is going deal with the power of Pennington striking or if Andrade will look to take her down.

UFC 171, what a card to look forward to. I'm really looking forward to seeing the featherweight bout Dennis Bermudez vs. Jimy Hettes. Bermudez being on a five fight tear, his only loss coming at the TUF 14 finals at the hands of Diego Brandao. And the submission specialist Hettes has only one loss in his twelve fight career when he was defeated by Marcus Brimage
This is just an intriguing fight with the style of both fighters. If you're a betting man, I would leave this fight well alone and just enjoy what's to come.
