Saturday's Strikeforce "Barnett vs. Cormier" event scored the best ratings of the year thus far for the organization on Showtime, as MMAJunkie.com reports that it brought in an average of 463,000 viewers.
That figure places it firmly in the middle of the major events for Strikeforce since the beginning of 2011. Of the eleven events run in that time frame, Saturday's card ranked sixth, ahead of both January's "Rockhold vs. Jardine" event and March's "Tate vs. Rousey" card.
Saturday's event concluded the Strikeforce Heavyweight World Grand Prix, and though the numbers fell below the first two rounds of the tournament, they nearly doubled the low mark set by the semifinal event last September.
