John Alessio's return to the UFC won't be a wholly short-lived one, as the UFC already has his next fight booked. After a loss to Mark Bocek at UFC 145 last month, his first fight in the Octagon since October of 2006, Alessio will take on Shane Roller at UFC 148 this July in Las Vegas.
Roller is getting another fight despite losing three straight in the Octagon since being brought over from the WEC. He won his UFC debut with a knockout over Thiago Tavares, but then suffered stoppage losses to Melvin Guillard and T.J. Grant before losing a decision to Michael Johnson.
UFC 148 takes place on July 7, headlined by the Middleweight Championship rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.
