Donald Cerrone had a four-fight UFC winning streak snapped in his fifth fight of 2011, dropping a decision to Nate Diaz at UFC 141. He's now got his first scheduled fight of 2012, as it was announced on Tuesday's UFC Tonight program on Fuel TV that he'll take on Yves Edwards on May 15 at UFC on FX 3 in Virginia.
Edwards has lost two of his last three fights, dropping a decision in his last bout to Tony Ferguson in December. Cerrone had been on a tear in the UFC's lightweight division before the decision loss to Diaz, and moves from a co-main event slot on pay-per-view to this FX event.
