It wasn't his most impressive performance, but Renan Barao defeated Scott Jorgensen by decision at UFC 143 to remain unbeaten in his last 29 fights.
Barao's striking and takedown defense were the story of the fight, as he stuffed all of Jorgensen's takedown attempts and out-struck him throughout the three round bout. Jorgensen just could not get comfortable in the fight, as Barao's reach was too much for him to overcome, and his output too overwhelming as well.
The win was Barao's fifth straight under the Zuffa banner, and will put him on the short list of contenders for the UFC Bantamweight Championship after the Dominick Cruz-Urijah Faber bout this summer.
