Czech fighter Karlos Vemola made his UFC debut as an undefeated heavyweight in 2010, but lost his debut fight to Jon Madsen. That loss prompted a drop to the light heavyweight division, and he knocked out Seth Petruzelli in quick fashion before losing a decision to Ronny Markes last August.
Now, he'll drop a weight class again, as the UFC announced on Thursday that he's headed to the middleweight division, and will take on Mike Massenzio at UFC on Fox 3 in New Jersey this May.
Massenzio is in desperate need of a win after a submission loss to Rousimar Palhares last month. In six UFC appearances thus far, Massenzio has won just two fights, and a loss in this bout would put him at 1-3 in his last four.
