Duane "Bang" Ludwig was having success landing body shots against Josh Neer at UFC on FX 1, but as he tried to get back to his feet late in the first round, he left himself open to a choke.
Neer took full advantage of the opportunity, choking Ludwig out cold just past the three minute mark of the first round on Friday night, and earned his second straight UFC win in the process.
Ludwig controlled the striking exchanges early, hurting Neer early and often with shots to the head and body. Finally, Neer grabbed a clinch and scored a takedown. Ludwig defended as best he could, but Neer snatched the guillotine choke on in a scramble, and Ludwig was out before he knew what hit him.
Neer has now won eight of his last nine fights, with two since returning to the UFC. Ludwig drops to just 2-3 in his last five fights in the Octagon.
