Strikeforce is continuing on this year with eight events planned for broadcast on Showtime, but if the first of the year is any indication, it's going to be a money losing promotion for Zuffa in 2012. The numbers for the January 7 event at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino have come back from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and the event had just 1,992 attendees for a live gate of $68,805.
The event had a payroll of $566,000 for the Luke Rockhold vs. Keith Jardine headlined card, and of the 1,992 attendees, 1,065 received free admission.
