Nate Diaz put on perhaps his best career performance on Friday night, overwhelming Donald Cerrone with his boxing game to take a unanimous decision at UFC 141.
Cerrone rushed out to begin the fight, but it was Diaz who started landing combinations early and often. Much like his brother Nick is able to do, Nate landed an accumulation of strikes and never let up for the entirety of the 15 minute bout.
Cerrone had some success with kicks, and dropped Diaz with some trips in the second and third, but it was not nearly enough to make up for the lack of offense the rest of the way.
For Diaz, he's now had perhaps his two best performances in the UFC in a row, while Cerrone's highly impressive 2011 ends on a down note.
