Spike TV is once again counter-programming the UFC on Fox, as they will air an "Unleashed" marathon on January 28 featuring fights from UFC on Fox 2 co-headliners Rashad Evans, Phil Davis, Chael Sonnen, Mark Munoz, and Michael Bisping.
The network scored 800,000 viewers up against the UFC's debut on Fox last month by counter-programming with a marathon of episodes featuring Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos, though the UFC still scored nearly nine million viewers at the peak of that broadcast.
The UFC's programming is moving to FX and Fuel in 2012 for cable television, but Spike still owns the library rights to past UFC content through the end of next year. The schedule for the Unleashed marathon is below:
4PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Michael Bisping vs. Jorge Rivera
5PM ET - UFC Fight Night 24: Phil Davis vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
7PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Chael Sonnen vs. Renato Sobral (UFC 55)
8PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Mark Munoz vs. Kendall Grove (UFC 112)
9PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Rashad Evans vs. Brad Imes (“The Ultimate Fighter 2” finale)
10PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Rashad Evans vs. Rampage Jackson (UFC 114)
11PM ET - UFC Unleashed: Rashad Evans vs. Lyoto Machida (UFC 98)
