The UFC announced today in a press release that Chael Sonnen will in fact face Munoz at UFC on Fox 2 on January 28 in Chicago. The long rumored fight was thrown in question recently as Sonnen hinted publicly that he might be facing the winner of the fight between Jason Miller and Michael Bisping instead of Mark Munoz.
In a press release sent out today by the UFC, the promotion also announced that the main event for the show will be the expected matchup between Rashad Evans and Phil Davis. Both the main event and co-main event of the evening will be title-eliminator fights.
Tickets for the UFC on Fox event go on sale to the general public on Friday December 9. Chicago's United Center will be the host venue for the show, which airs on Fox at 8 PM Eastern Time.
