UFC lightweight Cody McKenzie passed along word of his next fight on Twitter on Friday, and according to him he'll be taking on Michael Johnson at the UFC on Fox 2 card in Chicago, Ill. on January 28.
Both fighters were teammates on The Ultimate Fighter's 12th season under UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, and have had similar runs in their UFC careers.
McKenzie won his first official fight in the UFC, a guillotine choke over Aaron Wilkinson, then lost his next two against Yves Edwards and Vagner Rocha.
Johnson lost his UFC debut in his finals fight with Jonathan Brookins, then bounced back with a win over Eddie Faaloloto. However, he dropped a second fight in the UFC in his most recent fight when he was submitted by Paul Sass at UFC on Versus 6.
