Following consecutive losses to Brian Stann and Demian Maia, middleweight Jorge Santiago has been cut from the UFC's roster, according to a report from Tatame.com.
The Sengoku Middleweight Champion gave up his belt and left that organization earlier this year to make his first appearance in the Octagon in over four years. However, he was knocked out by Stann back in June - his third stoppage loss in the organization - and lost a decision to Maia at UFC 136 earlier this month, bringing his overall UFC record to 1-4. His sole win in the UFC came in his debut against Justin Levens back at UFC Fight Night 5 in June of 2006.
