UFC 184 wasn't nearly half as bad as I was expecting. I still have no idea what Cat Zingano was thinking rushing in on Ronda like she did. I'm sure the outcome would've been all the same had she not done that, though I'd have liked to have seen more of a fight. Apart from that I enjoyed the night.

Last night will go down in MMATorch history for some of the worst results we've ever seen. Even though only two underdogs won, I was surprised by some of the scores and money returned. Any money placed on Yamamoto and Salazar was returned, and if you had one of these fighters in a three way parlay bet, I've amended the bet to a two fight parlay.

Only four players managed to returned a profit on their $1000 stake, whilst only two players hit their three fight parlay bet. I'm not sure we've seen anything like it before!

The upside to the below par scoring and betting, was that it didn't take me nearly half as long to work the final scoring out.

Let's see how you all got on.

CONFIDENCE GAME FIGHT PREDICTIONS

30 people submitted an entry for this card. Here’s a combined breakdown of how many confidence points you placed on each fighter (Winner in bold):

Ronda Rousey - 305
Cat Zingano - 5

Holly Holm - 262
Raquel Pennington - 7

Jake Ellenberger - 110
Josh Koscheck - 31

Alan Jouban - 186
Richard Walsh - 13

Tony Ferguson - 173
Gleison Tibau - 5

Roan Carneiro - 10
Mark Munoz - 191

Norifumi Yamamoto - 79
Roman Salazar - 41

Tim Means - 62
Dhiego Lima - 49

Derrick Lewis - 249
Ruan Potts - 0

Valmir Lazaro - 7
James Krause - 137

Masio Fullen - 29
Alexander Torres - 29

CONFIDENCE GAME RESULTS

Dan 'Moneymaker' Moore (52)
beat Richard Race (46 points) to become the new MMATorch Confidence Picks Champion.

Richard put his title on the line for the first time this weekend, and it hasn't ended well for him. With back and forth twitter trash talking and a friendly bet on the side, there was a lot on the line for loser. Well, that's stretching the truth a little, but nevertheless, no one wants to lose their title after working so hard to accomplish his dream of becoming the MMATorch confidence and betting champion.

It was the experience and luck of the old man Dan which would prevail in the end. He correctly predicted seven of the eleven fights, whilst Richard had a bad night by his standards, only predicting five correctly. Ultimately, the deciding factor was defeat to Koscheck that finally got Dan over the line.

Next up for Dan will be Dave 'Shortfuse' Hughes who scored (62) points thanks to his use of the Joker card and only placing 2 points on Mark Munoz, who cost a lot of dropped points to many players. Kevin Seng was a close second with (61) points whilst Justin Berglund returned (60) points; if only Justin had placed his joker card on a victorious fighter he would next in line for the title shot.

Well done Dave.

Luckily for most players, the Joker card has masked a lot of terrible scores, especially from myself!

Here are the results of the Confidence Picks pool:

62- Dave 'Short Fuse' Hughes
61- Kevin Seng
60- Justin Berglund
57- Dave Clarke
57- Alex Potapoff
57- Tommy 'Gumbo' Strong
57- Sam Martin
55- David Lindahn
55- Brian Foe
54- Scott Pipher
54- Sean Simpson
53- Mark 'The Body' Sacchetti
52- Browny
52- Daniel 'Moneymaker' Moore
52- Anthony Sinnott
51- Josh Hall
50- Gareth Moores
50- David Little
50- Michael Bane
50- Dominic Marchionna
49- Cambo Nelson
46- Richard Race
45- Jaymon1002
45- Joel Wielenga
44- Eugene Kim
43- Mac Kinder
43- Charles Mickael
42-Jason Poirier
39- Avery Clarke
36- Richard Wilde

Note: Should either champion, or challenger fail to submit picks for UFC 185 (Pettis vs. dos Anjos)  Kevin Seng would step up as a challenger, and so on. Everyone else will be fighting for the No 1 contender slot on the night, and the right to face off against either Dan or Dave at UFC FN 63 (possibly).

BETTING GAME RESULTS

Dan 'Moneymaker' Moore ($830.34)
beats Richard Race ($440.00) to become the new MMATorch Betting Champion. It's been a few months since anyone retained their title, and once again we see the title change hands. Unfortunately for Richard four of his five single bets didn't return a single cent, while Dan fared a little better with returned bets on Fullen and Ellenberger, which saw him once again become double champion!

Dan Moore: $830.34

$250 on Fullen for $411.29

$50 returned on Salazar

$250 on Ellenberger for $369.05

Richard Race: $440.00

$200 on Lewis for $240

$200 returned on Yamamoto

Up next to challenge Dan will be Sam Martin, who returned a modest $1925.00 thanks to his $500 single bet on Roan Caneiro. This was more than enough to top the pool with his nearest rival Kevin Seng who was $300 adrift. Only four players managed to return a profit on their original stake, and only two players returned money on their three fight parlay while the rest of us failed dismally!

Well done Sam, I look forward to seeing you rip the title from Daniel's hands!

Performer of the Night: There really wasn't a stand out performer from last night, though Dan 'Moneymaker' Moore pulled it out of the bag to once again become double champion. Also, honourable mentions to Dave Hughes and Sam Martin for winning the confidence pool and betting pool respectively.

GOAT: This could be awarded to a host of players, though Richard Wilde and Avery Clarke take the honours!

Stay tuned for more news and more prizes coming up, and thanks to everyone that takes part in the game!
