=====UFC Fight Pass Prelims=====

-Noad Lahat def. Steven Siler via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Note: Really fun fight. Close first round that Lahat edged out, then Lahat dominated the second on the ground and nearly finished it, and Siler dominated the third round. Very entertaining start to the day.

-Joanna Jedrzejczyk def. Joana Lima via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-27)

Note: Impressive work from Jedrzejczyk. Her striking was very good, and she just completely outworked Lima on the feet while avoiding most of her takedown attempts.

Note: Completely forgettable fight. Really not much more to add to that.

Note: Kind of an ugly fight. Trator landed a ton of strikes and that was ultimately the difference.

WINNER: Means via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

WINNER: Cummins via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-25, 30-24)

STAR RATING: (*) Just an uncompetitive fight that didn't really go anywhere. It was rinse and repeat with takedowns, a few strikes, then back up, again and again, and Kingsbury's inability to offer up much offense made things drag on as well.

WINNER: Masvidal via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-27)

STAR RATING: (***) Great first and second round, bit of a slower, more methodical third, but a good fight overall. Crazy recovery from Masvidal off that first round knockdown allowed him to take over.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Green. Each of the rounds in this fight were close, and I can see an argument for Thomson getting the fight, but I think Green was more effective in the striking department throughout the fight.

WINNER: Green via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

STAR RATING: (**+) Again, I can see the first and second for Thomson, with the third the clearest for Green. On a rewatch I might score things differently, but it seemed Green was connecting on more overall in that fight.

MAIN CARD FIGHT TWO: CLAY GUIDA VS. DENNIS BERMUDEZ (FEATHERWEIGHT)

WINNER: Bermudez via submission (rear naked choke) at 2:57 of the second round

STAR RATING: (**) One-sided performance from Bermudez, but it was definitely impressive. He continues to work his way patiently up the division, but he deserves more recognition at this point at 145 lbs.

MAIN CARD FIGHT THREE: ANTHONY JOHNSON VS. ANTONIO ROGERIO NOGUEIRA (LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Tentative start early. Johnson landed an uppercut that tagged Nogueira. He backed him to the cage and just started unleashing a ridiculous barrage of punches. He destroyed Nogueira with a huge uppercut, landed a right, got back in with another uppercut, landed more, and finally finished up with a third uppercut. Unreal. That was brutal, and damned impressive.

WINNER: Johnson via TKO at :44 of the first round

STAR RATING: (***) That's all for Johnson's performance. Nogueira really didn't need to be in there taking that punishment tonight, and that should probably be it for him given the injury issues and this loss. As for Johnson, give him a No. 1 contender fight later this year, he can fight the winner of Jon Jones/Daniel Cormier vs. Alexander Gustafsson.

WINNER: Lawler via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47)

STAR RATING: (****) Excellent main event fight. While there wasn't a stoppage, this was everything anyone could have hoped for when this fight was announced. Lawler was delivering a lot of brutal and damaging strikes, Brown was just too tough to put away. Not only that, but he fired out a lot of offense of his own. Just a really great fight, and Lawler-Hendricks II is going to be a great Title bout.

-While there were several fights that started to drag things down, the final three fights picked up and finished this event strong.
