Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira has suffered an injury, pulling him out of his scheduled fight with Rousimar Palhares at UFC 134 next month, and Dan Miller has been tapped to take his place.

The UFC announced the change on Wednesday evening.

Miller returns to the cage after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Nate Marquardt at UFC 128 in March in his home state of New Jersey. The loss snapped a two fight winning streak for Miller, though it's come out in the last couple of weeks that Marquardt was undergoing testosterone replacement therapy into the fight unbeknownst to Miller. It's the second time that has happened, as Chael Sonnen was also undergoing the treatment when he defeated Miller, without Miller being aware of the circumstances.

Palhares lost to Marquardt himself while the former title challenger was undergoing the treatment, again unbeknownst to him. However, he got back in the win column in March with a second round submission win over Dave Branch.

UFC 134 takes place from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 27, headlined by the Middleweight Championship bout between Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami.

Penick's Analysis: Miller will step up to fight anyone at anytime, and he's proven that notion on a number of occasions, so it's no surprise to see him take this fight. This makes for a really good matchup still, and with Miller being a very hard fighter to finish, he's going to make for a very tough test for Palhares. This is a good late replacement fight, and Miller still has almost a full two months to prepare.
