Injuries continue to hit upcoming cards for the UFC, and the latest to bow out of a fight is Anthony Perosh, as the UFC announced that he is out of his scheduled bout with Krzsysztof Soszynski at UFC 131 in Vancouver next month, and will be replaced by Igor Pokrajac.
Pokrajac brings a 2-3 UFC record into his sixth appearance in the Octagon, having won two of his last three fights after back-to-back losses upon his organizational debut. In his last outing, Pokrajac's late first round assault of Todd Brown caused the fight to be stopped following the completion of the frame at UFC on Versus 3.
Soszynski got back in the win column his last time out at UFC 122 in November, defeating Goran Reljic by decision to bounce back from a TKO loss to Stephan Bonnar at UFC 116 in July. He has alternated losses and victories over his last four fights after a six fight win streak, which included wins in his first three fights in the UFC.
UFC 131 is headlined by the heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos, and airs live on pay-per-view from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on June 11.
