A welterweight bout between Paulo Thiago and David Mitchell is headed to UFC 134 in Brazil, according to a report from Sherdog.com.

Thiago is out to get back on track in 2011 after a rough 2010. After beginning his UFC career 3-1, a decision loss to Jon Fitch the only mark against him heading into June of last year, he dropped consecutive fights to Martin Kampmann and Diego Sanchez by decision. The Brazilian native will try to pick up his first win since last February in front of his home country fans.

Mitchell made his UFC debut last September at UFC Fight Night 22, losing for the first time in his 12-fight career in a decision to T.J. Waldburger.

UFC 134 takes place from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on August 27, headlined by the UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami.

Penick's Analysis: This is a good fight. It's a step down for Thiago from the competition he's faced throughout his time in the organization, but after consecutive losses that's not surprising. It's great that he'll get a chance to fight on this card in Brazil, seeing as he's a legitimate day-to-day badass as military police officer in the country, and he'll get a chance to pick up a much needed win in front of a hometown crowd. Mitchell has a big opportunity to play spoiler as well. It's a good fight and will be a solid addition to the card.
