The third bout between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard will come to UFC 130 in May, as MMAFighting.com reports that UFC President Dana White has confirmed the date for their Championship rematch.
The two fought to a split draw in their second meeting at UFC 125 on New Year's Day. The five round instant classic left fans and White wanting more, and the immediate rematch was called for.
The only thing holding up the date was the health of both fighters, and with Edgar suffering a broken nose it was dependent on his recovery time as to when this fight could take place. Now, it's likely to be the headliner for this Memorial Day weekend card on May 28 in Las Vegas.
Penick's Analysis: This card is going to be another really big event in Las Vegas. This fight itself is going to be awesome, but add in that Anthony Pettis is likely to meet Clay Guida on the card, Frank Mir and Roy Nelson are targeted for a bout, and Rampage Jackson and Thiago Silva are also expected to meet, this is just a great main card for a pay-per-view event.
