The UFC felt extra generous after Saturday's UFC 124 event, and handed out an extra "Submission of the Night" bonus to go along with the normal "Sub of the Night," "Knockout of the Night" and "Fight of the Night."

Because both Mark Bocek and Jim Miller pulled off impressive submissions in their bouts, each earned a $100,000 bonus for "Submission of the Night." Bocek's came on the night's preliminary card, but it still made the broadcast as he set up a triangle from the mount, rolled it over and finished Dustin Hazelett.

As for Miller, while standing above a downed Charles Oliveira, he dropped down and locked on a knee bar. Oliveira tried to fight it off, but Miller held the joint lock tight and forced the tap.

Season six Ultimate Fighter winner scored his biggest win in the UFC to date, knocking out Joe Stevenson in the first round to earn the "Knockout of the Night." Danzig scored the knockdown with a perfectly timed left hook directly to the jaw as Stevenson rushed in and had him backing up. He followed up with one punch on the ground before the fight was stopped. It was only his second win in his last six fights.

The UFC allowed fans online to vote for the night's "Fight of the Night," and UFC President Dana White joked afterward that they "blew it" by voting for the main event between Georges St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck. The back and forth brawl between Sean Pierson and Matt Riddle was another candidate, though both fighters will likely get something from the UFC for their performance.

The performances all took place in front of a record attendance of 23,152 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

Penick's Analysis: Pierson and Riddle, as well as Thiago Alves, deserved some consideration for their efforts on the card, but with fans voting it makes sense that St. Pierre's main event mastery got the nod. I'm very happy to see both Miller and Bocek get the "Submission of the Night" award, as they were both excellent and very worth of the bonus money. Danzig took the "KO of the Night" withl a very deserving knockout to Stevenson. All in all, a weak looking card on paper turned into one of the more enjoyable fight cards of the year from start to finish.

EDIT: The original report mistakenly said Danzig was the only TKO on the card when, in fact, Stefan Struve defeated Sean McCorkle by TKO as well.
