"I am concerned about winning fights and making money. That's all I am concerned about and I don't really look at it one way or the other, I have said a million times don't judge the book until you read it. Don't judge me until you meet me. People have really got to understand that [TUF is] only a TV show - man do they take this sh** seriously! ... I have a great gameplan and my thing is, I don't think George has a good chin and I don't think his hands are that good. So I want to keep this fight on the feet and knock his ass out... I believe he hasn't been hit since Matt Serra. That was a good crack. His chin hasn't been tested and I think Georges has quit in him. If you look at the first Matt Hughes fight where he arm barred him, he was tapping before it was even tight. If you look at when little Matt Serra was on top of him pounding him, he tapped out. So I believe that Georges has quit in him and you just have to take him to that point. Nobody has been able to do it since those two but I plan on doing it on December 11th."
-Josh Koscheck talks to Fighter's Only about the misconception of him as a person and his gameplan for his UFC 124 bout with Georges St. Pierre.
Penick's Analysis: If Koscheck truly believes that GSP's hands aren't that good, he should be paying more attention to what's happened to those close to him. Jon Fitch got picked apart in the striking department against St. Pierre, and to think GSP's not capable of that in every fight is naive and not the mindset Koscheck should be approaching this fight with. If he thinks that's the case and that's the best way to win this fight, he might be in for a rude awakening. Of course, this is still the fight game, and the upset can't be written off - especially with the Matt Serra fight always in the back of people's minds. But this will be in front of a rabid hometown crowd for GSP, and having already learned his lesson once, I don't know that it will be repeated. Of course, we'll all find out next Saturday, and the anticipation for this fight couldn't be any higher.
