"It’s complicated, because they’re two very different guys. Cain [Velasquez's] technique is good and prevails, just like his conditioning. As for Brock [Lesnar], he’s a very aggressive guy, heavy... I believe it’ll be a great fight and I can face any of them. I don’t have a favorite one for this bout, but I believe that Cain may surprise...
[UFC 117] itself was excellent, but unfortunately there were Brazilian defeats. The Americans are good on what they do, they have a good Wrestling technique and they take you down and stay there forever, getting theirs [sic] points and winning their fights. It’s a boring fight, but it’s an efficient game they have."
-Junior Dos Santos talks to Tatame.com and looks ahead to the Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez as well as giving his thoughts on the Amercian wrestling prevalent in MMA.
Penick's Analysis: He can think it's boring all he wants, but it's something he's going to have to contend with when he fights the Lesnar-Velasquez winner next year. Both fighters are at an elite level on the wrestling side of things, and though no one has yet put Dos Santos down and kept him there, both fighters are likely to be able to do so. He'll present a great challenge to either fighter, no doubt, but he's going to be in for by far the toughest fight of his career when he faces the winner of the October fight.
