-Breaking months of silence in regards to his UFC 117 opponent Chael Sonnen, UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva finally fires back at the vocal challenger in a promotional video for the event. (Quotes transcribed by Tatame.com)
Penick's Analysis: I hope the disrespect from Sonnen does the job and gets Silva fired up for this fight. Fans want to see him destroy someone again like he's done against so many of his opponents. He mentioned later in the transcribed quotes at Tatame that he's going to go out to showcase his superior technicality. As long as that means trying to school Sonnen and not just embarrass him fans will be on board, otherwise they'll be disappointed yet again. Hopefully the Champion can get off this current trend of toying with his over-matched opponents and actually go out there attempting to finish the fight.
