A lightweight bout between Kurt Pellegrino and George Sotiropolous is coming to the July 3 UFC 116 event in Las Vegas.

Both fighters have signed bout agreements for the fight, according to a report from MMAFighting.com.

Pellegrino moved his win streak to four fights last month with his second round submission of Fabricio Camoes at UFC 111. He's 7-3 overall in the UFC, though his last loss came over two years ago to Nate Diaz by triangle choke.

Sotiropolous is now 5-0 in the UFC after competing on season six of The Ultimate Fighter. He's coming off perhaps his most impressive victory to date in a dominating decision victory over Joe Stevenson at UFC 110 in Australia.

UFC 116 airs live on pay-per-view on July 3 from Las Vegas, Nev., headlined by a Heavyweight Title unification bout between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin.

Penick's Analysis: This is an excellent lightweight fight that could set up the winner to be a fight away from a Title shot. Sotiropolous proved himself worthy of talk as a top lightweight with that win over Stevenson, and he's simply been more and more impressive in each showing in the Octagon. Pellegrino as well continues to impress with each fight. The Camoes fight was highly impressive, as he survived the onslaught from the Brazilian in the first round to come back strong in the second. This UFC 116 card really is shaping up well, and should be another very good pay-per-view card.
