The last two men to defeat Josh Koscheck both share the name Thiago, and Koscheck's going to get a chance for revenge against one of them at UFC 109, according to a report from MMA FanHouse.

According to the report, a bout between Koscheck and the last man to defeat him, Paulo Thiago, is targeted for the Super Bowl weekend event on February 6th.

Thiago shocked the MMA world with his first round TKO victory over Koscheck in February. He's gone 1-1 since then, losing to Koscheck's fellow AKA fighter Jon Fitch at UFC 100 and rebounding with a victory over Jacob Volkmann at UFC 106 last month.

Koscheck himself has bounced back with consecutive victories following the loss to Thiago, defeating Frank Trigg in the first round of their bout in August at UFC 102 and choking out Anthony Johnson on the UFC 106 card in the second.

Koscheck's ultimate goal is to get another crack at Georges St. Pierre, the current Welterweight Champion who picked up a decision victory over Koscheck on his way back up the ladder to his second Championship reign. After unsuccessfully petitioning to jump ahead of Dan Hardy for the next Title shot following his victory at UFC 106, a win over Thiago would help his case to be the next in line.

Penick's Analysis: This is a fight that I would expect Koscheck to win. That said, that's exactly what most of us thought heading into the first meeting between the two. He's gotten a better look at what Thiago can do over the last two fights now, though, and he'll not be taking Thiago lightly in the least. This is a fight he needs to win if he wants to get that shot at GSP again, and it is a fight he should win if he feels he's the number one contender. This should be a very interesting rematch, and it's a good addition for yet another continually depleted card at the outset of the 2010.
