The UFC is looking to add another Aussie fighter to the UFC 110 card in Sydney, as MMAMania.com reports that a bout between George Sotiropolous and Joe Stevenson is in the works for the event.
The lightweight match-up is a big step up in competition for Sotiropolous, who is unbeaten in three years. He has been increasingly impressive in each outing in the UFC, most recently defeating Jason Dent at UFC 106 earlier this month.
Stevenson has gotten back on track a bit in the lightweight division, picking up two straight victories after a 1-3 stretch that saw him lose to division Champ B.J. Penn and title challengers Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez.
UFC 110 is set to take place on February 21st at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia, and is expected to be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cain Velasquez.
Penick's Analysis: This is a great fight to find out just how good Sotiropolous is right now. His top game has been amazingly impressive, but he's going to have a tough test in Stevenson, whose wrestling will be some of the best Sotiropolous has ever come across. This is a really good fight for the Australia card, and a big shot for Sotiropolous.

But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
