The UFC's first venture into the UFC will bring the return of a multi-time Octagon veteran according to a story on the event from the Brisbane Times.
Though Elvis Sinosic hasn't had much success in the organization, he has been in multiple high profile bouts against a number of the UFC's light heavyweights. The Times' report states that Sinosic will face off against another veteran of the Octagon in his return, Chris Haseman.
The UFC has in the past loaded their overseas cards with native fighters, and this would be a sensible addition to the night's fight card due to that reason.
The UFC 110 card will reportedly feature Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira against Cain Velasquez and Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping as it's top bouts on the February 21st event. It will broadcast in the U.S. live on pay-per-view on Saturday, February 20th.
Penick's Analysis: Neither fighter has done much in the Octagon, but it's a good thing the UFC is giving them a chance back in the Octagon with this event in their backyard. This will likely just be a preliminary card bout, but it will still help the UFC with selling the event locally and both fighters will be of assistance in the promotion of the event. This card is still looking highly enjoyable, and the addition of the Nogueira-Velasquez bout gives this a really solid headliner as well.
