The UFC awarded $70,000 "Fight Night" bonuses to three fighters on Saturday night for their performances at UFC 106 in Las Vegas. Josh Koscheck, Anthony Johnson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira each received bonus money for their efforts.
Koscheck was the night's big earner, as he took home a double bonus for "Submission of the Night" and "Fight of the Night" with Anthony Johnson. His second round rear naked choke ended a bout that was halted twice due to illegal blows, but both fighters received "Fight of the Night" honors.
"Lil Nog" made a successful UFC debut in impressive fashion, battering and knocking out Luiz Cane in two minutes to become the first fighter to stop Cane in his career. With the win, Nogueira announced himself as legitimate contender in the deep waters of the light heavyweight division.
