Another lightweight bout is coming to the WEC's December event, as MMAJunkie.com reports that Bart Palaszewski and Anthony Pettis have verbally agreed to square off at WEC 46 on December 19th.
Pettis was scheduled to face "Razor" Rob McCullough at WEC 44 in November, but McCullough had to pull out of that bout due to injury. He is 7-0 in his professional career and most recently picked up a submission victory back in June in his WEC debut.
Palaszewski will be looking to get back on track in the lightweight division after dropping two straight bouts to Anthony Njokuani and Ricardo Lamas. His last victory was in December of 2008 over Alex Karalexis.
WEC 45 is set to air live on Versus from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, on December 19th, headlined by a lightweight contest between Donald Cerrone and Ed Ratcliff.
Penick's Analysis: This is another good addition to a solid card in December. Palaszewski is in desperate need of a victory after those two straight losses, but it won't come easy against a very crafty Pettis. His slick triangle submission in June got him on the Versus broadcast in his debut and he'll look to impress again. This should be a very competitive fight with both coming into this one fairly even.
