"Johny Hendricks is in a position where he should have been fighting for the title. If I was him, I would be extremely frustrated. It's my chance to go up against the No. 1 seed and take his position. Johny Hendricks is going to come in with a chip on his shoulder like he's being over looked and kind of taken for granted, and I know those feelings very well. So we're both just going to be pissed off at each other. I think it will be a great matchup... I'm going to fight for a world title at some point. There's no way you can deny me that opportunity. I'm just going to fight and put on great performances and that's what's going to keep me in talks for the title."

-Tyron Woodley talks to FoxSports.com about UFC 192 opponent Johny Hendricks and his continued goal of a UFC title fight.

Penick's Analysis: Woodley got the fight he was looking for in Hendricks, but the reverse of that isn't true. Hendricks was holding out expecting a title rematch with Robbie Lawler, and it was only when that was fully taken off the table that this fight came to fruition. How Hendricks responds to that disappointment is a big key in this fight, because Woodley's motivations are clear. He knows a significant win over a former Champion puts him in the right position to be the next challenger for the title after Carlos Condit. That's especially true if Condit beats Lawler given Woodley's previous injury TKO victory over "The Natural Born Killer." This is a highly important fight for both welterweights on Saturday night in Houston, and whomever emerges victorious should be in line for that title fight.
