Jul 4, 2009 - 11:45:13 AM By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief A middleweight bout could be coming to the September 16th Fight Night 19 event between Aaron Simpson and Dan Miller.
In an update on his Facebook page, Simpson announced the bout, but later updated that it was not official and he's still waiting on confirmation.
Simpson made his UFC debut at Fight Night 18, picking up a TKO victory over Tim McKenzie in the first round to push his young career record to 5-0.
Miller is 3-1 in the UFC, having picked up his first loss in the Octagon against Chael Sonnen at UFC 98. He was riding a nine fight win streak into that bout.
Fight Night 19 is set to air live on Spike TV as the lead in to the tenth season of the Ultimate Fighter, and is also likely to feature a lightweight bout between Roger Huerta and Gray Maynard.
Penick's Analysis: This would be a very good middleweight bout. Simpson is a promising up and comer and Miller nearly defeated Sonnen in the first before being overpowered by the stronger wrestler. Putting these two on free television would be a great thing as well, to continue the exposure for these younger up and coming fighters.

The headlining bout between Phil Davis and Rashad Evans averaged 6.1 million viewers, meaning the peak number for the event will still come in somewhat higher than that. The opening bout between Demian Maia and Chris Weidman was seen by an average of four million viewers...
I am very nervous that Carlos Condit will win on Saturday night, and that I won't be able to fight Nick Diaz this summer. Carlos Condit is a very good fighter, he can strike, he is aggressive and he has submissions...
Georges St-Pierre is the only logical choice for Sonnen, since he's made it clear to the world at large that Anderson Silva wants nothing to do with him. And since everything that comes out of Chael's mouth when hyping a fight can be taken as gospel...
