Andrei Arlovski and Frank Mir will indeed by fighting at UFC 191 next month, as the UFC announced during Saturday's UFC 190 broadcast that the fight is official, and will serve as the co-main event for the Labor Day weekend card.
Arlovski's had a return to prominence since coming back to the UFC, winning three straight fights, and most recently knocking out top ten competitor Travis Browne.
He now meets Mir, the man who was UFC Heavyweight Champion when Arlovski won his first Interim Heavyweight Title. Mir had injured himself badly in a motorcycle accident, and Arlovski was eventually made the official champion. Their paths never wound up crossing until now, where both hope to prove they're still in the hunt for that title.
For Mir, a win would be his third straight, as he's knocked out both Bigfoot Silva and Todd Duffee in back to back fights after a string of four straight losses.
UFC 191 hits Las Vegas on Sept. 5, headlined by the UFC Flyweight Championship between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson.
