The UFC's return to Dublin this October has its headliner, and it will be an exciting lightweight matchup between Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier.
Duffy announced the bout on Irish television early Wednesday.
It's the spot Duffy was hoping for after securing his second straight UFC win earlier this month. The 27-year-old submitted Ivan Jorge at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow, Scotland, after hurting him on the feet, and he's now stopped three straight fights in the first round. The 14-1 fighter has stopped all but one fighter in his 14 victories.
As for Poirier, the former featherweight has burst back into relevance in the lightweight division, stopping both Carlos Diego Ferreira and Yancy Medeiros in the first round since moving back to 155 lbs.
The Dublin event will come on October 24, and is expected to air live on UFC Fight Pass.
