The UFC won the night on Saturday in the key demographic of adults 18-49, drawing a .9 rating in that demo for UFC on Fox 16 in the overnight ratings.
According to a report from TV By The Numbers, Saturday's broadcast came in at 2.29 million viewers overnight, which doesn't include west coast viewership or that of the 30-minute overrun on Fox. That number is down from April's 2.43 million viewers, but up from the same timeslot last year, with the July 2014 Fox card bringing 2.02 million in the overnights.
Saturday's broadcast seemed to be a bit of a promotional afterthought at times, stuck in between a busy stretch with one of the biggest cards in a long time and the next Ronda Rousey fight next week at UFC 190. However, those who tuned in were treated to a very entertaining main card, capped off by a fantastic performance from UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw.
Penick's Analysis: I'd imagine with west coast viewership and the overrun coming into account, this number will rise significantly. Dillashaw's performance was one which very well could have gotten more people tuning in and sticking around as it went on, and hopefully for him as many peopel as possible saw what he did last night.
