28-year-old Jessamyn Duke is getting another fight in the UFC despite losses in two of her last three appearances, as the UFC announced on Thursday that she'll take on Elizabeth Phillips at UFC on Fox 16 this July.
Duke won her official UFC debut out of The Ultimate Fighter's 18th season, defeating Peggy Morgan by decision. Since that season of the show, Duke has come under the wing of UFC Women's Bantamweight Champ Ronda Rousey as one of the "Four Horsewomen." Unfortunately, following the debut win, she's dropped fights to Bethe Correia and Leslie Smith, the latter coming by TKO in the first round.
She'll try to keep herself on the UFC roster with a win over Phillips, who is hoping to halt a two-fight losing streak of her own. Both of Phillips' losses have come by split decision, as she dropped those decisions to Valerie Letourneau and Milana Dudieva.
UFC on Fox 16 hits the United Center on July 25, headlined by a Bantamweight Championship fight between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao.
