It won't be in a title fight, but Joanne Calderwood will get to compete on the first UFC event in her home country of Scotland this July.
Calderwood, who was upset by Maryna Moroz last month in Poland, will take on Bec Rawlings on the July 18 card in Glasgow, the UFC announced on Friday. The 28-year-old Scottish fighter had been undefeated prior to the shocking armbar loss to Moroz, but she'll try to shake it off in front of a home country crowd.
Rawlings, who competed on Team Melendez opposite Calderwood on Team Pettis during the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter, picked up her first win in the UFC earlier this month when she submitted Lisa Ellis at UFC Fight Night 65.
The UFC Fight Night 72 event in Glasgow will air live on UFC Fight Pass, though a headliner has not yet been set for the card.
